2003-12-13 [spincrus]: This particular piece I find is really hard to make, you know. First of all, it's gonna appear in the first page. In addition to that, it requires so much detail to actually draw a whole town. And when it comes to me, I do it completely using a mouse!

2003-12-15 [Anonymous]: [Sepharin] will read the Uploading Art Rules . The drawing must be redone if it is to be displayed anywhere in Elftown, since part of it is copyrighted by a third party. If not modified it wont be allowed in the contest. Also she (please) will find 5 rulebreakers and report them to the Guards using the Note to Guards function.

O.o... i was under the impresson that the original artist was ok with the use of her work... i colored it myself in photoshop, from just the line art, and [TheRogue] can attest to that fact as he actually sat with me on the phone to instruct me on how to do a part of the glitter effect...

2003-12-15 [Bratt]: I just want to add and point out tho that copyright laws are very tedious and sometimes hard to understand. Thats why I always do my own stuff from scratch so I dont have to worry about infringing anyone else rights. If you like I would be happy to draw you something to color and enter??

It's just that we must be fair towards all of the other Elftowners who have had their images taken down in simmilar situations. However it's very understandable to feel pissed since you coloured it yourself. Look, we won't shoot down any joint entries, just writte both of your Elftown names saying who drew it and who coloured. Colour the artworks you want to as long as the artist is an Elftowner and agrees to let you coulour them. We created this contest for you all to have a good time, please don't let a little missundertanding of the rules interfere with your enjoyment of this contest. Ok? :-)

2003-12-15 [Calico Tiger]: The actual frontpage image was done by two consenting people. The problem is, you need permission from the other artist to use their art ^_^ And in this case, with the current front page image, it was a joint effort
